Hector Garza, 71, son of Santos and Isaura Garza, was born on March 31, 1953, in Texas City, Texas. He was the oldest sibling of the family with three sisters. On June 26, 1987, he was united in marriage to Penny Wagner. They later renewed their vows in June 2023. At the time of his death they were residing in Karnack, TX, where they had moved after he had retired from the Houston Chronicle. He had worked in the Transportation Department at the Houston Chronicle for 32 years. He was a proud and loving father and grandfather that cared deeply for his family and anyone that crossed his path. He was a very kind and giving person and never met a stranger. On, Friday, January 10, 2025, Hector passed away. Loving memories will live on in the hearts of those so richly blessed to have crossed in his path.
Visitation services are on January 27, 2025, at Crowder Funeral Home, League City, TX, from 6-8 pm, and Funeral services are on January 28, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, League City, TX, at 10 am.
