Herbert Zieben

Herbert Joel Zieben was born in New York City, on November 28, 1922. He was 89 years old when he passed away June 6, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Lillian Ziebenberg, and grandaughter Lauren Lipkin Orton. Herbert is survived by his wife Carol Posey Zieben, children Roslyn (Patrick) Kenney, Amy (Aron) Grenader, Alan Zieben, Lee (Tricia ) Zieben. He is also survived by step-daughter Kian (Chris) Chance. He is survived by brother, Eugene (Bernice) Zieben, grandchildren Allyson Lipkin, (Dave) Kitching, Michael and Drew Grenader, Michael (Kelley) Lipkin, Chloe Zieben and Kaden Chance and Great grandchild Lauren Olivia Lipkin. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Herb was a WW11 Veteran in the Army Airforce. He was a Shriner. He owned a Men's clothing store "Herbert Tailors" in the 40's/50"s. He became a home builder and developed many of Houston's best neighborhoods. He built multi-family and residential housing, strip shopping centers, a utility company, and hotels. He was past Host of the International Wine & Food Society. He was a devoted husband and father. He had a zest for life and trying new things. He was dearly loved by his family and friends.
