Hortense Dannenbaum Obituary

HORTENSE SELENE DAVIDSON DANNENBAUM passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2004. Born on April 2, 1907, in Houston, Texas. She was the daughter of Bessie and Abraham Pye. She graduated from Rice University and she attended her 75th Reunion last year. She was a member of the Museum of Fine Arts Board of Directors and served as President of the Houston Lumberwomen's Association. She was preceded in death by her first husband, M.C. "Mike" Davidson, her second husband, Maurice N. Dannenbaum and her brother, H. Walter Pye. She is survived by her sister in law Bessie Pye; her son, Ralph P. Davidson and wife, Mae A. Davidson; grandchildren Charles M. Davidson and wife, Keli; Philip A. Davidson and wife, Susie; Margaret Abernathy and husband, Andrew Abernathy; great grandchildren Ellie, Sydney, Sloan Davidson and Andrew Abernathy V. She is also survived by her step daughters, Jeanette Naman, Yvonne Senturia and Berenice Roder and their families. The family would like to thank Dr. James Willerson and Esperanza Tristan, Margarita Neff and Juanita Escobedo for their love and care. Following a Private Graveside service Friday morning, June 18, 2004 at Beth Israel cemetery there will be a reception at Mr. And Mrs. Ralph Pye Davidson's home.
