I was the controller for Houston Foundation Drilling from 1979 to 1983 and prepared its tax returns and reviewed its financial statements for many years after that. Bill Campbell was one of the finest men I have ever worked for, and I have worked for 3 of largest accounting and consulting firms in the world and many other private and public companies. His gentle demeanor and kind nature belied his sharp analytical skills and business savy. He was always interested in me as a person and my family and treated me with the utmost personal and professional courtesy. His positive attitude in the face of many personal challenges was always an inspiration to me. He made the world a better place - and I expect that God is pleased to have him in his company now. He was a fine man.

Bill, Betty and there family were the kindest and loving people I have ever known. I wish our families would have had more years together. Our hearts and love pour to them.

"Uncle Bill," my mother's baby brother, my cousins' wonderful father, a man whose devotion to his family is unquestioned. Fond memories remain. Until we meet again . . .

I remember a kind, gentle man who my mother thought "hung the moon".
