Mom, it is 3 years today that you left to be with God. I still miss you like it was yesterday which can only lead me to believe that time softens the pain but it will never dim your memory. You have been on my mind a lot lately because you were a master in stretching a dollar. That kind of skill would come in very handy with the economy we are living in these days! As always, I miss you and know that you are with me in spirit.

Your loving daughter,

Debra

My dearest cousin, Janet! I still can not believe you are gone!! Maybe it is because all the precious memories of our lives are so vivid in my mind. For over 65 years, each time we gathered as a family, you were my closest cousin, in age and in spirit! We shared so much and for all those precious memories; each one will be treasured by me.

Since I've lost Pete, Paul and most recently Mother, I find utmost peace in knowing that they are all with my heavenly Father and spending time with Jesus and all the other members of our families. Their spirit will forever be with me as will yours; I pray for all of us remaining that we'll keep remembering our blessings, celebrate our heritage, and one day, join each of you in heaven where we can forever praise God. I love you dearly, Barbara

Dearest Janet and family,

We miss you very much! You were my very sweet cousin whom I loved so dearly. I remember our many long talks. Our minute conversations seemed to joyfully reach at least an hour. We shared our concerns and love for our family, especially regarding our dear Aunt Helen.

The crescendo and descendo of your sweet voice will always remain close to my heart. I know your gentleness, your strength, your courage and your Godly love will echo for many generations. Everyone who knew you, loved you. Now, you are with your Savior, your King and your wonderful family in heaven. I know your are rejoicing with Grandma, Uncle Doyle, Mama and Daddy. You have departed from us only for a short time, but we will embrace again with our heavenly Father.

May the comfort of our Lord Jesus surround your family as your sweet memory will always be dear to our hearts.

We love you,

Pam

To my precious friend, Janet Fain

In the short time we had together you have giving me a life time of love, friendship and spiritual guidance. Every day I will miss you more and more, however, every day I can feel your presence. I see you in all the things you loved and cared for and I feel we have a special angel in heaven looking out for us.

I will miss the many hours we would spend talking, so please dear friend send me a message now and then.

I know you are smiling down upon all of us and that you are happy in God’s kingdom.

Dear Mom,

I cannot tell how much we miss you. Emmi is repeating your name and I believe she is actually having a conversation with you at the times. David is trying to cope with his pain better every day but it is so hard for him. Lucas is doing the best of all of us; he has much wider vision on some things than we would ever give a 4 yr old credit for - he simply says "it's ok - Oma will come back at the end and we will be a family again! She is an angel now and I can always talk to her" Now that is the greatest love! I miss you but my strength must come from Lukie's believe and trust too. I can just continue to keep your memory alive and try my best to make you pleased with our actions. I love you forever, Mom

Mom, I miss you so much but you are with me in spirit everyday. Thank you for everything and for being there when I needed you without question. You no longer have to go through all the challenges you faced while in the hospital. I know your spirit is full of love, joy and grace in heaven and you'll continue to be there for me whenever I ask... With deepest love, Debra

I would like to extend my deepest sorrows for the friends and family who must say goodbye to Janet Fain from this world. The first time I met Mrs. Fain she welcomed me into her home and fed me. Much as the Lord has welcomed her into his kingdom to feed her with his love. Janet led many a lost souls to the love of the Lord not only by words but more importantly, by example. She will be missed until one and all have joined her in the kingdom of heaven. May God place comfort on those of us who grieve her death and the ability to celebrate her life. Let us find strength from her passing and dismiss the weakness. May God bless all that have known her, today and forever.

Dear family and friends of Janet, what a wonderful friend she was. We met in 3rd grade at Kruse Elem when I moved to Pasadena, and went on to South Shaver Elem when the new school was built. between that time we lived in houses on the same street. Again in Pasadena High School we remained friends. After graduation we went our seperate ways until our 40th class reunion, and we discovered we lived only 3 miles from each other. We would find time to go to lunch together as often as both our busy schedules would allow. She loved to talk about her wonderful family, especially the grandchildren. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you on the loss of the lovely lady. She will be greatly missed by many.

To Janet's Family,

I didn't get to really know Janet until she participated in our Beth Moore Bible study at church. Janet didn't want to be a group leader, but she taught us so much, because she had such a vast knowledge of the Bible that she shared. It enriched the experience of everyone in her small group. We were so blessed she participated. We will miss her very much.

It is with deep sorrow that I face the loss of my dear friend Janet. She and I shared so many good (and not so good) times together. We discussed everything from good recipes to our deep love for our Lord, God and Savior and everything in between. I take comfort in the fact that she is now with Our Heavenly Father. My prayer is that her family be craddled in the arms of God to speed them through their huge pain, grief and loss. With love and prayers for God's blessings on all of you.

To Janet's wonderful family,

I've known your sweet mom since second grade at Kruse. Lost touch for a few years, but met up again in high school. Then we ran into each other once more in the late 70's at the girl's softball field in SW Houston when Donna played ball.

She was one of the sweetest, kindest people I've ever known. I remember her as being very quite in high school, but always one you could depend on to help in anyway possible. She never wanted people to be concerned about her. When it came time for her surgery, she wanted to wait to tell everyone AFTER she got home and back on her feet, so that she would be able to talk on the phone. That was so like Janet.

She will be missed by many. I'm sure she's having a wonderful time now.........and for all eternity. One day, we'll all be back together again. Until that time, may God send His greatest blessings to all of you.

I felt a kinship with Janet. We both liked Sunday School, Faith House, Prayer Ministry, singing in church, laughing at various things. I and Chuck will really miss her in the days and weeks to come. Her spirituality was a blessing to us all. Her faith was strong; and she dearly loved the Lord and her family. Our prayers for peace and comfort for her family will be ongoing. God Bless you all.

My daughter is in heaven with her Daddy. I can't think of the words to express my pain of buring a daughter, but it is great. My first born child. Janet did so much for me and her dad in our lives. She was always there to help us when we needed her. We loved when she came for visits. When she would come home. She is now at peace in heaven.

I will miss her smiling face.

Dear Family,

My heart is so sad today to hear of Janet's death. She and I had just gotten back in contact earlier this year. She saw the notice of my mother's death and got in touch with me. We e-mailed quite a bit, and now I know why our e-mails got less frequent. She never said anything about being ill. How like her.

Janet and I were close in high school and before, but of course lost touch after graduation. I've only seen her a few times. I was looking forward to having lunch one day with her and Helen Hodges.

Her aunts, Helen Shoppa and Billie Menn, were two of my mother's dearest friends and I still stay in touch with them.

I will keep your family close in prayer during this sad time. Try to remember where she is now and how happy and peaceful she must be. Now you can live the rest of your lives in the manner that will assure that you see her and hold her again one day. God bless you all.

Love, Guynell Parsons Brown
