Jim Turner Obituary
Jim Turner, Sr., of Houston, died April 12, 2011. At age 69.
He is survived by his son Jimmy Turner Jr, his daughter-in-law Amy and grandchildren Emily and Aidan; his daughter, Emily Chace Turner; his sister and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be at 1:00pm April 27th At Episcopal Church of the Epiphany 9600 S. Gessner, Houston, Texas.

We are so sorry for the Loss of your Dad. You are in our prayers and thoughts. We regret that we never was able to get him back over here to fish as we enjoyed his company so. But we are thankful for the time we did get to spend with him and will always remember him fondly.

Wish I could have said goodbye. I guess we never know when our number is up. I will cherish all of the great memories I have of our times together. You were the last of all the great Turner Uncles to go. But you were my favorite. I will miss you so. But you are with aunt Sara now, and that is what matters most. You live on with me in wonderful memories: Fishing, hiking, a contagious laugh and beautiful smile. I know Jim and Amy will pass on those qualities to the next generation as their children grow. A wonderful legacy from Uncle Jimmy. You are missed.

So many times we work with people all day for years, and promptly forget them when we retire. But Jim was part of our "lunch bunch" and we all loved him dearly. We were so sorry when they lost Sarah, and knew he would miss her for the rest of his life. Now, he is back with her, where he belongs. And I hope he gets one of our favorite great big bear hugs from our friend Bruce!

It was a sad day to hear of him leaving so many loved ones behind....but what a Great Day for his loving wife Sarah to welcome him home...Once again Side by Side...

Big Jim gets to be back with Sarah Chace. This is as it should be but I hate losing both of them and I certainly wish they had stayed on this earth longer.
They are here and they are gone and we do not stop missing them.

What a privilege to know such a wonderful family. Uncle Jimmy & Aunt Sarah will both be missed, yet their souls are at peace together again. Many great memories I have with this family, and I will cherish those memories for a lifetime. My thoughts & prayers are with The Turner Family.
