Jimmy Dale Simpson, 75, passed away December 22, 2014.
Survived by his wife, Bonnie; sons, Randall, Jimmy, and daughter, Jennifer; granddaughter, LaRonna and great- grandchild, Madisyn.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Waltrip Funeral Directors.

Bonnie, I regret not making the memorial service. I don't drive inHouston much anymore and the weather was so bad, I just felt I should stay home.
I haven't heard from any of the classmates, so I don't know what plans they have. I will let you know as I find out. I would love to have met your wonderful family. You all seem to be very close. You really are blessed. Betty

I miss you, Grandpa! I share so much knowledge I learned from you with people every day! There isn't a day that goes by that I dont speak to at least one person about, you, my grandfather... whether it be a memory, moral, or lesson you taught me! I love you soo much! Im very honored to be your grand daughter, and even more so, you my grandfather!! By the way grandpa, the phone that Uncle Joe made for you is just beautiful, you would be proud! Its you! And that made me smile amidst all of the tough moments I had the day we celebrated your life!!!! Gosh, I miss you! I wish I could talk to you, even if it was just for one more minute!! For My Grandfather

My grandfather was a quiet man,
But his silence could speak volumes.

The warmth of his gaze said, "I love you."
The strength of his hugs said, "I will keep you safe."
The gentleness of his hands said, "You're precious to me."
His nod of approval for a job well done said, "I respect you."

In the years to come, I may not remember many of the words my grandfather spoke,
But the memories of what he conveyed without speaking a word will stay in my heart.

Who knew that it would have been our last time to see and talk with Jimmy at our Christmas party. I for one will always remember Jimmy as being straight forward and too speak his mind and help anyone with their Classic Cars. No one can replace this exceptional man. My prayers go out to Bonnie and family at a time of this Great loss not only to them but the Houston Area Chevrolet Club as a whole!! I will surely miss this wonderful man....

Yes, Jimmy had a lot of great experiences to share. He had a good heart and was alway willing to help when he could. He alway had a good story to tell at the meetings, some could be a bit long. Just heard of his passing. So sorry to hear this. Jimmy was a great friend and co worker. He was one of the nicest people that would do anything to help others. Attended his 50th wedding anniversary in October. He was very dedicated to his family and will really be missed.
