JoAnn Carson Obituary

JoANN LITTLE CARSON went home to join her husband, Oran Carson, her parents, Sam and Eunice Little and granddaughter, Jessica Carson. She lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 24, 2004. She is survived by her three children, Frances Dee McKinney, Melissa Jo Barnett and husband Reed and Oran Carson, Jr. and wife Rita. JoAnn had 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Wise and husband Arthur; and brother, Sam Little. JoAnn was a native Houstonian who attended Reagan High School. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church all of her life and was also a member of the Robert Browning Club of Houston. JoAnn had many good friends and a family that will miss her very much. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26, 2004 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Boulevard. The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Gower officiating. Interment to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Reed Barnett, Michael Barnett, Arthur Ray Wise, Jr., James Wise, Chuck Hamilton and Joe Schumacher. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 570127, Houston, Texas 77257-0127 will be appreciated.
