I have known Dr. Cogan for a very long time, I started working for him nearly 15 years ago and worked for him for 13 1/2 years, wow how the years fly by. I understand why they flew and it was because everyday was such fun, he would make me laugh, it was such a pleasure to come to work. When ever I needed advice I knew to go to Dr. Cogan because he would tell me exactly what I should do and not beat around the bush. He was like a father figure to me and I will miss him dearly. He also loved taking pictures which I am so glad because now I have alot of pictures of birthdays and just alot of fun times over the years that we had, I will cherish this time of my life forever. May god bless you and I know one day I will see you again.

Hey Dr. Cogan,
I am just trying to keep you up to speed with how I am doing and how things are going for me. I am on active duty for three weeks. I got selected to take the EMT course. Remember I told you that they were going to send me to this class so they can get us ready for Iraq or Germany. Well, I think I got chosen to go to Germany in December for two years. Please watch over me and make sure that nothing happens to me. I have Mikey and Brittany to take care of. We miss you so much Dr. Cogan. I miss telling you my stories. I think that you would be proud of me. I have taken two tests so far and I have gotten a 90 and a 94. I am going to pass this course for you because you have taught me so much. Thank You. I think about you everyday and not a day goes by that I don't say something about you and what a great man you are.

Hello Boss,
Well I never would think I would be sitting here at the office trying to close it down. It is still so hard for me to walk in here, knowing that you are not here, but I do know that you are watching over me, and laughing at me, because you are seeing me really working. I always told you that one day I would really have to work, I never thought It would come this soon. Dr. Cogan, I miss you so much and think of you everyday, I only wished at this time I was in a dream. May you rest in peace, and may God Bless you, I love you.

My deepest condolences goes out to the Cogan Family. I was a patient of Dr Cogan since 1976 and visited him often since....we became good friends. The last time I saw him was last October '04 and remember the visit to his office quite vividly. He and I talked for over an hour about our respective families and the upcoming presenditial elections ...and encouraged me to come back and talk some more........He was very special and one of a kind!
I will miss him tremendously.

To My Dearest Boss, Friend, Dad
There isn't enough words to describe the wonderful 15 years I have spent and worked for you. I have learned so many different things from you,I will always keep those in my memories of you. I miss you so much it is still so hard for me to walk into the office and not see you sitting at your desk or in the lab, when I walk in. I tell myself that you will be walking thru that door anytime soon,or I will be getting a phone call from you, and you asking me SO WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE OFFICE, how I miss those words. Today I called your home phone and got the recorder, I just wanted for you to keep talking to me,it was hard to hear your voice. Dr. Cogan I will always keep you in my thoughts and prayers. May God Bless You.

I knew Jack all my life and have wonderful memories of visiting the Cogans. Jack had a great laugh that was contagious. I'm sure he will have them all laughing in Heaven, and I know my Dad will be glad to see him!
Sincere condolences to Naomi and the girls.
Love, Allison

Dr. Cogan was a great boss and a TRUE friend to everyone. Although I only had the honor of working for him for one year, I had the pleasure of knowing him for ten years. He was a very wise man and I loved him like a father. He had a way of making your day. He was always asking about our families and praising us on how strong Caron and I were when it came to raising our children.
Dr. Cogan you will always be in our hearts and you will be truely missed. We LOVE You.

Dr. Cogan was a young associate of Dr. J. Wade Harris when I came to Houston from Bryan in 1965 for necessary surgery. I was treated by Dr. Cogan during the extended post-surgical period and to this day, almost 40 years later, I recall vividly how kind he was to my family and me and how confident we all felt being in his care. More recently I have had a friend and one of her family members who have been treated by Dr. Cogan and never once have I heard anything other than praise and respect for him. Even though I have never met his family, my thoughts and prayers go out to each of them and consider them very fortunate to have had such a compassionate and highly respected husband, father and grandfather.
All patients should be fortunate enough to be in the care of doctors such as Dr. Cogan.

I have known Dr. Cogan for over 15 years as my loving wife used to work for him. He treated me like he known me all my life and was one of the most giving persons that you will ever find. He gave me one of his old deer rifles to go hunting with and even though it's only worth $200 to $300 dollars, I would not sell this gift he made me for all the gold in the world. He will always be missed and I am so glad to have one to known him. May God be with you in eternity Dr.Cogan as I certainly believe that you are.

I have been Jack's patient and friend for over twenty years. His death has been hard to understand. Some years ago, I lost my job and had no medical insurance or money. I called Jack and he met me at his office on a Sunday, treated me and told me not to worry about paying him. In today's world there are fewer men like him. I will miss Jack.
