Laurie and Leslie,

John was "one of a kind" and someone Misty and I will always remember. You came to our aid more than once on Galveston bay and your friendship endeared us to you in a very special way. We will miss him very much. Our deepest sympathy to you both.

Love,

Laurie, our hearts go out to you! John was a wonderful man, a fabulous shipmate and an inspired fixer-upper. We will miss him terribly, as I know you will. He battled long and hard. Could anyone have beaten it, he would have. We'll look forward to seeing you soon aboard Huckleberry. Love and hugs from us both, Ann and Tom Caywood

We did not have the privilege of knowing John for very long, but, in the short time we did know him, we grew to respect and like him very much. We will miss him in our future cruises with the San Leon Sailing Club. Our deepest sympathy to Laurie and Leslie.
