It was about 1970 when I met Earl and his late father Uncle willie and his brother and sisters. It was fun as teenagers going to their house, because they were what we called "cool" back in the day. I remember the time when we played dominoes, Earl,Charles,Joe Pradier and sometimes me. I was so afraid to play with them. It was alway a serious game with great thought. Me, I was just trying to match dots. But, the three of them always new what domino I had in my hand. I never understood that, and still don't. But Earl and Charles just laughed and laughed. Yes, we were there every day. If earl was there we always had gumbo with BIG shrimp. Well I never remember going and not eating. Oh yes, we sure will miss him and his good food. When he met his wife Ernestine it was a joy to see him with a wife and such a warm loving person. Keeping him on the right track. What a great family with such great children and now grandchildren. And the way he always took care of them.
We will continue praying for his family.
We miss you Earl.
With Love,
Linda and Joseph Pradier & Family

I have always loved Earl. I enjoyed teasing him so that I could see him smile. During his illiness I gained a very deep respect for him. I started calling him "the run-a-way patient" because he never sat around feeling sorry for himself. Different family members would go over to see him --- only to find that he was in the back yard or next door tinkering with a car or a lawn mower or whatever. There will be some sadness in our hearts for a while, but the sadness will eventually fade away. I am looking forward to seeing Earl again. I hope that the next time I see him I can still make him smile.

My Daddy was a very special person to us and to those who knew him. He loved to cook and eat and watch us enjoy and he took care of us so well and we will miss him everyday. Even though it is a very difficult time, we are comforted by all of the family and friends who give who support and we all thank you all from the cottom of our hearts. I want to thank his Drs., Paul Holoye and Canaan Harris and the Houston Hospice Staff for their great care and concern and DHL Airways,Memorial Hermann Southwest and Optimum Care Home Health for their support to our family. With much love, his daughter Erica.
