I worked with David at Union Texas Petroleum in late 80s. He was personal friend too as we were same age. I also loved to travel. So sorry to learn of his passing

I just received my copy of the Culver Alumni Magazine and was saddened to read this about David. I was in his Cabin (#34) at Culver Woodcraft Camp in the Summer of 1971, when he was the regimental commander. I can vividly remember him getting the rank that day. My sincere condolences to his family.

I was so saddened to hear about Davids passing. I met David when I was pregnant and on bed rest with my now six year old son William Page Keeton. I would sit up at the Houston Racquet Club pool with my feet up and he would swim laps for hours and yell, "How's the pregnant lady today?" and "How's the baby cooking?' he would make me laugh and that's how we got to know each other and became friends. He was such a dear and never met a stranger. I am just sorry we have lost touch over the past few years and I had no idea he was sick or had passed away. Many prayers and thoughts for his family and friends. Stephanie von Stein Keeton

This world lost an amazing person, J David Belchic. He was like the brother that I never had. I have know him since my family moved to Houston in 1971 (our moms were college roommates). Our families have spent most holidays together every year for +48 years. We went to high school and college together and we never missed watching the UT and A&M game at the Belchic farm on Thanksgiving. He was a loyal friend and treated me as if I was his sister. The world will not be the same with him not here. I love you David and will miss you. RIP my brother.

David and I were asked to cut the cake at my mother's birthday party. Well you can see my mom was oblivious to what was going on behind her.
