Resident of Sunnyvale
Passed away peacefully on April 14. Joe was born March 21, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA, to Eudokia and Peter Ree. Joe served his nation during the end of World War II, graduated from Temple University, worked for Ford
Aerospace and later Loral, from which he retired in June 1992.
He was the loving husband of Ruth Ree, his wife of 65 years, father to Ann Huggett, her husband John, Robert Ree, his wife Julia, Paul Ree, his wife Kathy, and grandfather to Joseph and Meghanne Ree.
Joe was a kind man, loving and giving, with the best smile in the whole world. We will miss him, his strength, and his gentleness. He truly was a gentle man.
Visitation will be Monday, Apr. 21 from 4 to 8pm with rosary at 7 at Spangler Mortuary Sunnyvale. The funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, Apr 22, 10am at St Martin Church in Sunnyvale. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Los Altos, following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to Second Harvest Food Bank or Martha's Kitchen in San Jose would be appreciated.

To Ruth, Bob & Julie, Ann and Paul and your families,
We lost touch years ago but I'll always remember the good friends that my Larry and Bob were in Santa Maria. Joe and Ruth were a gracious, delightful couple to be with. Perhaps Joe has met Don and Larry again up there in Heaven. I'm so sorry to know what grief you've gone through with the loss of such a wonderful husband, father and grandpa.
