Justin Harrigan Obituary

Justin Thomas
Harrigan
1980-2015
A Celebration of Life for Justin Thomas Harrigan, of Houston, will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079. Justin's young life ended suddenly at age 34 on April 13, 2015.
His mother, Cynthia Hardy; fiance, Lindsey Morris; daughter, Faith Lilla Harrigan, of Denver, CO; brother, Jorn P. Hardy, of Austin; and brother, Craig Harrigan, of Huntington Beach, CA, all mourn the loss of beloved Justin, and pray that he is at peace at last, having suffered a dibilitating seizure condition in recent years. In spite of the challenges the illness brought to his everyday life, Justin bravely carried on his passion to excel in his craft of glass artistry, looking forward to his future with Lindsey.
Justin was born in Las Alamitas, CA, on December 28, 1980 to Cynthia Hardy and Christopher Harrigan. He was raised in Houston, TX and Port St. Lucie, FL.
Justin was highly artistic and loved to perfect new skills in his many, diverse areas of interest. He attended the Culinary program at The Art Institute of Houston. He later developed impressive talent and ability in creating masterpieces of glass artwork spanning several genres, for which he became locally well known and admired.
Justin enjoyed skateboarding most of his life. He traveled as often as he could, always up for an adventure. He was a great chef and often prepared fabulous dinners for his family at his mother's home. He taught his brother Jorn many skillful techniques, which Jorn honors now by continuing to study culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu in Austin. Justin also loved tending to his aquariums and was a talented gardener.
Justin was simply an artful, sensitive, though sometimes fiery, unique young man whose absence truly represents a loss to the world. Justin surely would have excelled at many more creative endeavors. The love and concern of his family were always with him. His relationship with his younger brother Jorn was special and very close. We greatly miss Justin and will keep a seat for him when we gather to celebrate life's occasions as is our family tradition.
Justin is survived by other dear friends and relatives including his uncle, John Hardy, of Lafayette, IN; his Great Aunt Bobbie Giachini of Houston; and Grandfather, Leonard Korotzer of Houston.
