My sincere condolences to the family of Kathy Herndon-Lewis. As children we attended the same church (Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Church) where we became friends. Our mothers were friends. I remember attending many sleep overs at the Herndon home. Kathy’s memory will always remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Rest In Peace Dear Friend

Kathy was a classmate of mine at Ryan Junior High School. She was a part of a brilliant and comical cohort that had big time fun while performing at an exceptional academic level. She was good people. This loss saddens me, but the memories of her bring back joy and laughter. I pray that her family and loved ones heal by appreciating the good times that we had with her.

I’m so sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. Praying for her family. I know the Herndons from Wesley Chapel. Mrs. Dorothy Herndon and my grandmother (Alvie Davis Cummings) were good friends.

My sincere condolences to the Herndon and Barker Families. I had the pleasure of knowing the Herndon Family most of my life. Our grandparents attended the same church when I was a child. Mom was in school with her dad. Our paths crossed in high school and I always admired Kathy as studious and funny. Saw her at reunion in November, had no idea it would be last time. May the God of ALL, Comfort You at This Time. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
