Through The Franzheim synergy Trust - Kenneth was inspired by his philanthropy to reach out to recovering drug addicts in Cenikor...South American villagers
through Amigos de las Americas... orphans in Jamaica through SOS Villages...unwed teen-mothers through the Baylor Population Program...fundind at Harvard Medical School/Boston Childrens' Hospital a cancer research fellowship in memory of my son who died there...to Israeli Arabs and Jews through Interns for Peace...and to fund the restoration of Egypt's Sphinx (the foregoing is a partial listing of his efforts).
One of his favorite sayings was: "It's an ill-wind that blows no good."
I thank God that I was blessed to live sixteen-years with the quintessential ambassador.

Beloved Kenneth! A rare, loyal and witty friend. I was privileged to know him.
Kenneth was an amazing and gifted man who engendered devotion by his precious wife, Jorgina, his cherished children, and his very special staff, Cheng Ming Yang and Steve Morris.
He is surely with the angels in heaven, and with his sisters Elizabeth and Lily...
I shall miss his presence on this earth.
All my love to his family...
Marla Rhodes,

Ambassador Franzheim was a staunch supporter of the Institute of International Education's southern regional office in Houston and funded the Franzheim Internship that offered graduate students an opportunity for on-the-job training with IIE's international visitor program. He was a dignified diplomat and a polished gentleman and I was honored to have been a part of his legacy.

I only knew Mr. Ken for a short time, but in that short time, I learned that he is a wonderful man that will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you Georgina and your family.
