When we engaged Ken to represent us, we knew little about his legal accomplishments but did know he was a kind, caring, and very smart man. We will be forever grateful for his representation. We still miss him and think of him often.

I am very sad to learn of Ken's death. I worked with Ken and shared a secretary with him when I was a brand new lawyer at Butler Binion in the early 1980s. Ken was a good mentor and a lot of fun to work with. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. I send my sincere condolences to all his family.

Our hearts are deeply saddened at the passing of our friend and wise counselor, Ken McLaughlin. Ken was our family estate planner and advisor. He worked with us for 25 years administering first, our mother's estate then our father's. Our father's estate involved a will contest, and in a court trial Ken was absolutely brilliant. All of us have lost a wonderful and caring friend and his profession has lost a damn fine lawyer. We send our deepest sympathy and affection for Ken to his family, friends and colleagues.

I was saddened to learn of Kenneth McLaughlin’s passing from this life. We had worked together through the years. Professionally, Ken will be missed because he epitomized a learned, skillful and tough-minded lawyer with extraordinarily high ethical standards and distinguished professional accomplishments. Personally, I will miss Ken and am sad for his family in their personal loss.

It was my honor and pleasure to work with Ken as his secretary for more than 20 years. I am deeply saddened by his passing because the world has lost a man of integrity and compassion. Ken was not only my boss, he was my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with Ken's loved ones as I ask for God's blessings upon them.

I just learned about Ken's death this afternoon and even though I did not know Ken well, I know that he lived life well! A man of integrity is no longer with us, but he leaves a legacy of honor, respect and care. To Ken's family, my deepest condolences and prayer for comfort during this difficult time.

Ken played an important part in my and my sister's (Jan Harkins Crews) lives. We know, as clients, how totally competent he was in the courtroom and as well as in probate and estate law. We will miss him.

I worked with Ken as a new attorney from 1986-1992. He was a wonderful teacher and mentor from whom I learned so much! I am deeply saddened at his passing and pray that John and the rest of Ken's family will experience God's healing grace and comfort in the coming days.

I have known and worked with Ken for over 20 years in the Trust area. I always found him to be a man of great intergrity, loyalty, humor and concern for others. He will be missed by those of us who worked with him and sought his advice and counsel. I pray that the family will find peace and comfort in your memories of Ken.

To the family of Ken McLaughlin

I have had the privilege of knowing and working with Ken first as a Trust Officer at Texas Commerce Bank and since 1985 as a Probate Judge. My prayer for you is that God will draw near and give you a very real sense of His presence in this time of separation and loss.
