Leo Caesar Obituary

Leo Henry Caesar III
09/15/1943 - 01/21/2025
Leo Henry Caesar III, born on September 15, 1943, in Houston, Texas, to Leo Henry Caesar Jr. and Helen Ruth Caesar, passed away on January 21, 2025, leaving behind his devoted wife of 61 years, Carole Davis Caesar.

A graduate of Spring Branch High School in 1961, Leo pursued his studies at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where he met his future wife, Carole. Their love blossomed, and they were married in Abilene, Texas, on August 31, 1963. Together, they built a loving family, raising four children: Leo Caesar IV, Douglas Caesar, Sherry Caesar, and Randal Caesar. They found immense joy in being present in the lives of their ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

For over five decades, Leo dedicated his life to the family business, Diesel Parts Sales, and continued the work he loved at Diesel Specialists until his final days. His expertise and knowledge in the diesel repair industry earned him widespread admiration and recognition. He provided valuable assistance to loyal customers and factory representatives globally. Leo's unwavering commitment to service and his strong work ethic laid the foundation for a comfortable life for his family.

A passionate advocate for youth, Leo served the Boy Scouts of America for an impressive 52 years. His exceptional service and dedication were honored with the prestigious Silver Beaver Award, the highest recognition bestowed upon a volunteer leader at the council level. Leo took great pride in the fact that his sons and grandsons continued his legacy of service within the Boy Scouts organization.

In addition to his work with the Scouts, Leo served his church as an Evangelist Patriarch and was a board member at Camp Sionito in Bandera, Texas. He dedicated his time to teaching Sunday school and volunteering as a camp counselor, sharing his love for his community and imparting valuable life lessons to the younger generation.

Leo is survived by his devoted wife, Carole; their children, including Leo Caesar IV and his wife Hope Caesar, Douglas Caesar and his wife Mary Caesar, Sherry Caesar and her wife Christy Caesar, and Randal Caesar and his wife Keely Caesar; and his sister, Betty Magnuson. He is also blessed with numerous grandchildren, including Brittany Aleman and her husband Richard Aleman, Leo Caesar V and his wife Venessa Caesar, Jacob Caesar, Clayton Caesar, Travis Caesar, Nicholas Diehl, Amber Diehl, Sheale Tanner, Morgan Caesar, and Joshua Caesar; and his great-grandchildren, including Amber Aleman, Samuel Aleman, Logan Aleman, Danica Caesar, and Leo Caesar VI.

Leo's legacy extends beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of many who were fortunate enough to know him as a father and grandfather figure.

A memorial service will be held on March 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church, located at 1215 Campbell Rd., Houston, TX 77055. A delightful dessert reception will follow the service.

In celebration of Leo's life, we kindly request that if you attend the service to please come casual. Formal or black attire is not necessary. In lieu of flowers, Leo had a special wish to make donations to the Boy Scouts of America or Camp Sionito. Desserts are also welcome as donations be shared.
