Lisa Kennedy Obituary

LISA CHEADLE KENNEDY died in her home in Glen Ridge, New Jersey last January 6, following a courageous battle against breast cancer. She had resided in Montclair and Glen Ridge for the past 40 years but made frequent visits to Houston and maintained close ties to her family members and friends here. She was born in Montclair, New Jersey in 1954 and after graduating from Montclair High School in 1973,she earned her B.S. degree in Speech Pathology at the University of Iowa. She received a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from Rutgers University in 1980. After several years of working at St Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, Mrs Kennedy switched careers and entered the banking field in Manhattan. She worked for the past 20 years at Citibank and The Bank of New York where she was a Vice President at both. Her special area of expertise was international trade financing. Mrs. Kennedy was the daughter of Mrs. David W.Cheadle of Houston and the late David W. Cheadle. She is survived by her husband, Derek and her two brothers, David C. Cheadle and William K. Cheadle and son William who reside in Houston. She is also survived by her stepchildren, John and Patricia Kennedy and their sons Thomas and Patrick, Robert and Gina Kennedy and son Kyle; Arthur and Bridget Wanek and sons Derek, Brendan, Ryan and Kevin; and William Kennedy. A Memorial Service will be held at St Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road at 10.00 am on Saturday, February 19th. Donations may be made to the cancer program of your choice.

My family and I send our expressions of sympathy and condolence to the family and friends of Lisa Cheadle Kennedy. The sorrows of Helen, Bill and David Cheadle and her beloved husband Derek are especially in our thoughts and together my family and I pray for their comfort in this hour of loss and remembrance.



With our hearts heavy but mindful of the joyous peace that Lisa now knows completely with her Saviour,
