Lucy Ladieu Obituary

LUCY MACHA LADIEU, age 90 of Wharton, died Saturday May 24, 2003 at her home. She was born on Dec. 18, 1912 in Hungerford, TX, the daughter of the late Frank John Macha Sr. and Mary Kneitz Macha. She was a 32 year employee of the Texas Gulf Sulphur Co. in Newgulf until her retirement in 1975. Funeral Mass services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday May 27, 2003 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton with Monsignor Dan Scheel and Father Henry Rachunek officiating. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Wharton. Wake services will be held 7:00 PM Monday May 26th at the Wharton Funeral Home with Deacon Alvin Matthys officiating. Friends may call for visitation from 5:00PM until 9PM Monday May 26th at the Wharton Funeral Home. Survivors include her brother, August E. Macha of Hungerford and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Thomas LaDieu; six sisters and six brothers. Memorials, St. Joseph Catholic Mission, Boling, TX 77420 or to the WCJC LaDieu Tech Building Fund, 911 E.
