Mark Alan McCoy
1954-2020
Mark Alan McCoy passed on December 5, 2021 in Houston, Texas .He was 66. He was born on June 16, 1954 in Evansville, Indiana and is preceded in death by his parents, W. Harold and A. Ellen McCoy, and his sister, Jan Ellen Boerner in 1993. He is survived by his brother Lester B. McCoy of The Woodlands, Texas, nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces and nephews.
Mark obtained a bachelor and master's degree in civil engineering from Purdue University.
He was a designer of offshore drilling platforms for various companies in Houston and redesigning existing rigs including managing of construction and launch. He truly loved his work and would spend long hours pursuing it. Mark never married or had children but was a lover of all things collectable.

I remember picnics at the family farm and playing pool and Mark’s sweet and shy smile. The McCoy’s always made folks feel welcome. I hope Mark is at peace and I hope that brings you peace, Lester. I am so sorry for your loss.
