Martha Jane Payne Liverman
1937-2021
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Martha Jane Payne Liverman left her earthly home to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at age 84 on December 19, 2021. She was born along with her identical twin sister Mary Lou in her parent's house on Jennings in Park Place on January 30, 1937 in Houston, TX to the late Norman Emory Payne Sr. and the late Lillian Crabb Payne. She graduated from Milby High School in Houston, TX and from Baylor University in Waco, TX where she met the love of her life, her husband of 59 years, George King Liverman Sr. Martha was a beloved primary school teacher in both Houston and Alvin, TX for over 27 years teaching kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade.
Martha is survived by her twin sister Mary Lou Payne McKaig, and her daughter, Mary Jane Monaghan, and sons, Stephen Payne Liverman and George King Liverman Jr. and their families.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation on Sunday, December 26 from 4-6pm at Scott Funeral Home, 1421 E. Highway 6, Alvin, TX, 77511. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 27 at 1pm at Scott Funeral Home with a graveside service at the nearby Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, TX immediately following the funeral.
