Michael Prall Obituary

MICHAEL "CODY" PRALL, age 57, resident of Sugar Land, TX, passed away on May 17, 2006. He was born on August 22, 1948 in Detroit, MI to Merrill and Lois Everest Prall. Cody was the youngest of four brothers and was the great-grandson of Buffalo Bill Cody. He served 3 tours in Vietnam with the Army Special Forces and returned to serve N. Las Vegas Metro P.D. Cody also served as a Federal Marshal. Cody had many accomplishments during his life. Some of his achievements included an Army Green Beret, Airborne Jump Master, Silver Star, Two Times Bronze Star with Valor, and a Three Times Purple Heart recipient. Cody was the Curator of Historical Antiquities at the famous George Ranch. He was a living historian that made several western movies and was active as a Civil War re-enactor. His hobbies included 1800's A.D. reenactments of the United States as well as his part-time movie acting career of well known history movies. Cody was a member of the 7th United States Calvary Association and the Boulder City Elks Lodge. Cody is survived by his wife of 10 years, Debbie Poindexter-Prall; his daughter, Sharron Belcher; his grandchildren, Kristina Prall and Justin Belcher; his mother, Lois Prall; his brother, Bob Prall; and his nieces Janet and Renée Prall. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 7 until 9 PM on Monday, May 22, 2006 at The Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek (Williams Trace exit). A Celebration of Cody's Life will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 in The Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek. A graveside service and committal will follow in Morton Cemetery, Richmond, TX. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in Cody's honor to George Ranch Historical Park, 10215 FM 762, Richmond, Texas 77469.

Debbie, Bob & Helga, Janet & Renee', how shocked & sadden I was to hear of Mike's passing! My heart ( what was left- after my loss of Tim) just broke even MORE- upon hearing about Mike. My deepest condolences to all of you! I wish words COULD HELP- but I know they won't BUT friendships DO help alot. Just knowing how much he meant to that person ( me AND Tim) & now ME...& Mike will forever be in my heart- just as HE & DEBBIE were- as a couple & our friends! And Bob- Helga, Janet & Renee'- ya'll have ALWAYS been in my heart ( & Tim's) & as soon as I heard ( from Janet & Renee', just the other day- Friday) ..my prayers have been said constantly for the entire family & DEBBIE- you & I have such a heavy heart now & always- but you are in MY PRAYERS! Mike was a very SPECIAL person ( Tim & I were so blessed to meet him & Debbie) and had a personality PLUS...& loved to "listen" to him talk of his life & of his true love- DEBBIE ! I'm so lost for words- as I was as shocked, as all of you & all his family, friends & co-workers! He WILL be MISSED by so many. Debbie & family- PLEASE call me, if I can do ANYTHING for ya'll. God Bless & my hugs!!
