MIKE SIX Obituary

MIKE SIX broke on through to the other side February 13, 2010. He was 59 years young, & a true kid at heart. Not only was he a loving husband, father, brother and uncle, but was the World's Greatest Grandpa. Mike was the son of a son of a Sheet Metal Worker, & was in the trade for 40 years himself (Local 45 in Des Moines, IA & Local 54 in Houston, TX). Even during his sheet metal career, he was always trying to figure out what he wanted to be when he grew up. That is, until he discovered being a grandpa. During his life he played baseball, softball, hockey & was a wrestler in high school. He enjoyed his Harley, being with his family & playing/teaching his granddaughters, Molly & Jordan. Visitation with his family will be Thursday, February 18th and Friday, February 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

MY DEAR UNCLE
So many thoughts,
in my head.
So many things,
left unsaid.
You left that day,
without a glance.
Never knowing God,
wasn't giving you a second chance.
What was in your head,
the last moments you had.
I hope you had happy thoughts,
and not sad.
No one can ever take your place.
Your image in my heart will never erase.
As you smile one me from up above.
I love you dear uncle you meant the world to me.

Deri,
Mike was such a good friend and neighbor to me since the day we moved in. I will miss his friendship, his fun loving wit, our afternoons sharing a beer, and his hand always extended in friendship whenever I needed a hand. I am here to help you whenever you need me. Please ask. You are always in our prayers. John White

I am Honored that my Dad and Uncle & Brother-in-Law and Husband had the pleasure of working with Mike. My Heart goes out to Mike's entire Family & his Friends.

Mike was a friend and fellow worker, though I worked as a pipefitter. Mike worked with me a Texaco for a while and I grew to like and respect him.We remained friends even after I moved on to different aspects. He was a great friend. He will be greatly missed by all. The world is a sadder place, but knowing Mike he will be banging away up there.

Mike will be missed by a lot of people that his family never even met. I worked with and for Mike, and he was always supportive, treated you like you were his family. He talked a lot about being a Grandpa and his love for his family. May God, friends, and loved ones help and support you through this time of grief.

Mike was co-worker, a friend, a source of humor, and a great, gentle man. His departure leaves a hole in my heart and a sadness that will be difficult to overcome. We’ll miss you Mike.
