Nelda Ramsey

Nelda Jean Ramsey, 79, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 10, 2012 after a long and valiant struggle with cancer. She is survived by her siblings, Gwen and Kenneth Belote, Delores Daniels, Lavon Mitchell, Judy and Mike Henicke, Richard Burton, Nina Burton, and Gary Burton; her children, Brenda and Clif Cridland, Rocky Burton, Brad and Valerie Burton, and Bill and Margaret Burton; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and adopted children.
Nelda was a retired plant operator of Phillips Petroleum Company, a member of Memorial Baptist Church of Baytown, a guest member of Lyons Baptist Church, a member of Jane Phillips Society, and VFW women's auxiliary.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2012, at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas. A celebration of Nelda's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, in the Chapel of Crespo and Jirrels. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in LaPorte.
The family would like to thank Dr. Donna Weber and the phenomenal support staff in the Myeloma clinic at MDAnderson Cancer Center for the wonderful treatment she received.
