My Dearest Nick, you will be missed more than you could ever know. I'm so thankful that we became freinds again after all the years of being apart. I so miss your phone calls & funny e-mails, even your fussing at me about something. Our sons are devestaed & so are our Grandkids. I've loved you since I was 14 & you were 16 & always will, Rest in Peace my love.

To Nick and his family, hadn't seen you in years, and in fairly quick succession, twice. Once at the 50th and once at the Christmas party at Pete Wallace's. Still the same fun loving, joking, don't take it too seriously personality. I will throw a nickel in the grass and toss back a few in honor of your memories. Semper Fi good buddy.

Many of us from the Hialeah/Miami Springs
family of friends have such warm memories
of Nick. He was, (and still is) a great guy who's exuberance and passion for life always left you with a smile on your face and a knowing that the world was a brighter and better place because
he was here. He was dearly loved and will be dearly missed by all of us who
had the privilege and joy of knowing him.

To the family of Nick Cappello especially his three sons. Although I had not seen Nick for over fifty years, he attended HHS 50th reunion, at this reunion we honored the Veterans. Your father and Charles Curry shared a few of their stories from the war. It was wonderful to see them reunite all veterans with their humor of times they couldn't change and were lucky enough to return home from. Please know that your father's smile and humor will be missed the most.

I treasure the memories of all the good times with Nick, Pat and Truett. I have a picture of Nick and Pat taken on one of the many Christmas Eve's we spent together. It has traveled with me through many moves always to return to its special place on my desk. It is there today.
