Ollie Watson Obituary

OLLIE JANE YOUNG WATSON passed into heaven on June 12, 2007. She was born on July 4, 1916 on a farm near Marshall Arkansas in the beautiful Ozark Mountains to John Calvin and Vina Lou Treat Young. She was next to the youngest in a family of nine children. While visiting in Houston Texas in 1937, she met and married John Lewis Watson who predeceased her in November, 1995. Her only son John Edwin Watson passed away in 1999. The past few years she has resided at Tomball Nursing Center and received loving care by a staff that became her extended family. A member of the Baptist Church, she truly lived by the golden rule and loved and cared for her family and friends throughout her life. She left many happy memories and an afterglow of smiles; an echo whispers across the way of laughter and love. She loved music and the time spent gardening and "camping" at the deer lease. The family wishes to thank the staff of TNC, Dr. Janel Beatie and the nurses at Tomball Regional Hospital for their tender care. She is survived by a daughter Jacquelyn, and a son in law, Dr. Erwin C. Winkel, II and a daughter in law Ann Donaldson Watson; one sister, Rose Sanders of Marshall Arkansas. Her Grandchildren are Robin (Rob) Neumann; Joy Grandolfo; Tammy (Bryan) Hanks; Dr. Chip (Carrie) Winkel; Carolyn (Ted) Cox; and Todd (Rachel) Winkel. She has ten great grand children, one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at grave side at South Park Cemetery on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held Friday Evening from7-9:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home, Champions. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice. Honorary Pallbearers are her grandsons.

I am in awe of God's grace and mercy, that He would let me be right there with you when you passed into His arms. I love you dearly, Mamaw. You remain a wonderful, loving grandmother, in my heart always, and I look forward to the day when we are reunited, because of our shared saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, forever. Carolyn (your "Huggums")

I am sorry that you had to leave us Mamaw but I know one day we will see each other again. I have no doubt that Papaw was waiting with open arms for you with Edwin by his side. Our loss is heaven's gain and one day we will meet again. I love you and I will miss you, Mamaw.
