Marg,
I know it has been a hard road to follow when losing a loved one. Peter was my best friend growing up and is greatly missed but my grief cannot be measured by your love for him. I continually think of him and his mother, Aunty Georgie.

Marg,
I just found out about Peter's passing when I reached out to him on LinkedIn. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Peter at Spectrum and fondly remember the support he gave to me while I was on bed rest expecting my first son. I met with Peter in the fall last year regarding a job and we shared some laughs about the good old days at Spectrum. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Marg,
I cannot put in words how incredibly sad and shocked I am about Peter's passing. I will remember him as a warm man with smiling eyes who always had something interesting to say. I will remember him as an adventurer who traveled the world with you. I will remember him as a thoughtful and funny host. I will remember you two as one of those couples who stand out in their "togetherness" and how well they seem to compliment each other.
I am thinking my best thoughts for you.
Sending you love,
Stefanie with Mitchell and Tallin

Hi Marg:
My deepest condolences to you. I had the privilege of working with him at Glenayre. He had the adjacent cubicle and have many fond memories of him. Dear Marg,
I am shocked and saddened to hear that Peter had passed. I worked on the Glenayre Japan projects with him. He was the Jamacian white guy who spoke japanese in a deep baritone. I liked and respected him. I will miss him. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Dear Marg. Me, Andrew, Sarah and Jonathan are in absolute shock over Peter's passing. We are beyond sad at having lost our childhood friend particularly since we just saw him at his mother's funeral who we also miss terribly. It seems so incredibly sudden. I am so sorry for the grief you must be feeling and we are all bereft at what both you and Uncle Pat must be going through. We plan on going to see Pat and had hoped to have him over on Christmas Eve. Our thoughts are with you.

Last night, I learned that a dear friend, Peter Simmons passed away unexpectedly. He was only 48 years old. We met in Japan almost 20 years ago and shared years and years of wonderful outdoor adventures together with Marg Toronchuk, his wife and other friends . This photo was taken in Hokkaido on a backcountry ski trip we did a few years back. That was a wonderful, memorable trip. Peter was a magical, wild mountain man, an engineer, a creative spirit with a deep amazing voice-when he spoke, his voice carried from the depths and beyond. He was a deeply generous soul, applied his engineering skills to our outdoor adventures in creative ways that were incredible!! Peter, you shall be remembered and cherished by all of those whose lives you touched!!! I am filled with memories today of our many adventures together and of our walks and talks in Vancouver and here in Portland during your visits. May your journey to the other side bring you the richness that you offered to so many others on this side!
In speaking with Marg this morning, she said the one thing she wanted to say to everyone is not to wait and put off "catching up" with old friends or getting in touch and reuniting with those we love and care about because you really never know what will happen in our lives.
