Peter David Taylor, 83, of El Lago, Texas passed away on June 4, 2017 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Northern Ireland to Augustus and Florence Taylor on May 10, 1934. Moving to India in 1937, he lived in numerous cities with his military parents. They returned to England after World War II in 1946. Pete attended the Royal Aircraft Establishment simultaneously with London University from 1949 – 1955 receiving degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering and Power Plant. He immigrated to Toronto, Canada in July 1955 working for Orenda Engines and DE Havilland Aircraft, before being hired by General Electric Co., Jet Engine Division in Cincinnati, Ohio. Coming to Texas in November 1962 with G.E. Co. and to El Lago in 1964. Pete earned his Professional Licenses in Canada, Ohio and Texas. He is survived by his wife, Joyce of 62 years, son, Clive, daughter, Alice and son-in-law David, grandchildren Erik, Tyler, Travis and Opal.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas
