Robert Burghoff Obituary

DR. ROBERT LESLIE BURGHOFF, 45, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away Nov. 20, 2003. Dr. Burghoff was born Aug. 5, 1958 in Webster, Massachusetts. He is survived by his loving Wife, Bethany; Son, Kalvin; Daughters, Karli and Kendall; Birth Mother, Lois Gevry; Sisters, Dawn Geiser and Melissa Lowe. Preceded in death by his Father, Leslie Pierce Burghoff (Former President of the Paralyzed Veterans of America) and Mother Lois Doran Burghoff. Dr. Burghoff is remembered as a loving husband and father. His accomplishments include being an Eagle Scout, Graduated Suma Cum Laude Worcester Polytechnic University 1980, Ph.D. from University of Rhode Island 1991, inventor, Christian song writer, South County Football league coach, Developmental committee member of Woodlands Children's Museum, Born again Christian, and Founding Member Fellowship of the Woodlands. The family will receive friends, Monday, November 24, 2003 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery. Memorial services will be Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at 2:00 pm at Fellowship of the Woodlands with Pastor Mark Howell officiating. Donations in lieu of flowers to: Prudential Gary Greene, C/O Julie Eichacker, 9000 Forest Crossing Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77381.

I'll remember Bob as the one who could always make us laugh...and graduate school was no laughing matter. Chuckles and smiles came easy to him- a sure sign of a good heart. My deepest sympathies at your loss. While nothing can lessen the impact for you or your family, I hope that all the wonderful memories and the thoughts of those who knew him will lighten the burden.
