Robert Shingleton Obituary
Shingleton (Bob), 71, died peacefully in his home October 5, 2013 surrounded by his beloved family. He fought many courageous battles with a variety of cancers but in the end, aggressive and terminal pancreatic cancer robbed his family of his body but not his spirit. Bob leaves a wife, Barbara, of 54 years, daughter Brenda, son Bob and wife Shellie, daughter Kathy and granddaughters Megan, Kaitlin and Alexandra. He is also survived by sister Theresa Lawler and family in Illinois.
Bob's family would like for you to join them for a visitation with a rosary from 6:00-8:00 pm on October 10, 2013 at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church (in the Lady Chapel) in Spring, Texas. A Mass celebrating his life will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church at 11:00 am on October 11, 2013.
In lieu of customary remembrances, Bob's family respectfully requests donations be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, in his name.

I know from many conversations how much you loved your Father, and seeing his face now in this photo it's clear he was also a person full of love and grace. Barbara & Family;
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Ernie & I were deeply saddened when Bob passed. He was many things to many people. Bob was a great man, respected by all, a mentor, and most of all, a great friend. Ernie will cherish all the memories through the years of friendship with Bob from NW45 Little League to umpiring High School baseball. Bob will be greatly missed.

I'm so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. Even though we had not been in touch for over 25 years, I still remember all of the LL games that we umpired together. After the game we would go to that old concession stand and Barbara would get us a cold drink. Great memories.
