ROGER O. CAMPANA

ROGER O. CAMPANA, of Houston, TX, passed away surrounded by his family on April 15, 2010. He was 86. Roger immigrated to New York City in 1948 from Trujillo, Peru, and earned a master's degree in chemical engineering in 1955 at New York University. He began his career in New York at Pepsi-Cola and later joined Old Town Corporation, a paper products company, for 19 years and rose to vice president of research and development. He moved his family to Houston in 1975 and founded RNE Corp., a copy products distribution company.A member of St. Cyril's of Alexandria Church for 35 years, he was the beloved husband of Elise M. Campana of Houston; the father of Roger D. Campana of Olympia, WA, Ronald C. Campana of Houston and Edward M. Campana of Pelham Manor, NY; and the cherished grandfather of Stacy L. Campana and Amy L. Mendez of Austin, and Giulia E. Campana of Pelham Manor, NY; and the great-grandfather of Mayan R. Mendez and Balam D. Mendez of Austin.A visitation will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, from 4pm 9pm on Sunday, April 18. A funeral mass will be held by the family at a later date to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to St. Cyril of Alexandria Church of Houston, 10503 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77042.
