Ronald Hurst Obituary
Ron is preceded in death by his father Garnet Hurst. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Kathy (Kate) Hurst of Houston; his mother Twila Phillips of Springfield, Mo; sister Sharon Kimbrell of Springfield, MO; daughters Andrea Hurst of Lees Summit, MO, and Alicia Pritchard of Independence, MO; brother- and sister-in-law Mike and Gayle Mikel of Fort Worth; grandchildren Nick, Kendra, and Anna; niece and nephews Missy, Jeff, Jeffrey, and Andrew; and dog Emily Graced.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Golfers Against Cancer, M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, or a charity of the donor's choice.
A memorial service will be held for Ron at Brookside Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2013. The Hearthstone Hack Rack will be honorary pall bearers. Special thanks go to Ron's doctor Rachel Theriault and Corey.

Magdi and I will always remember Ron at our house working so hard to get the house back in shape after the two floods. The first time he couldn't believe the mess we had, walked from room to room saying what a mess. His laugh, his jokes and never in a bad mood. We loved that guy.

We have a constant beautiful reminder of Ron's carpentry skills in our living room, an amazing custom mantle piece designed and built by Ron. He was an incredible friend and we will miss his light hearted nature. Steve and Cherrie Brickhouse
