Ron was my PeopleSoft Payroll mentor / guru / problem solver / and favorite character. We both liked Jim Dunham and he agreed with me that he was Walter's Doppelganger. One of the many nights Ron and I and some of the team had to work late waiting on the system to run after applying a fix, I procured a projector and put on one of Jim's specials. We shared great laughter and enjoyment watching together. Every day I've worked with PeopleSoft is a day that I think of Ron.

I shall miss Ron's kind heart and cheerful smile so much. What a terrific person and friend he was.

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Ron thru HISD Payroll Peoplesoft. Ron never lost his patience and took pride in his work . It did not matter how many times I would ask the same question, Ron would answer and would end with the a smile on his face.
Great person and will be greatly miss by his family and anyone that knew him.

It was a privilege and an honor to have known and worked with Mr. Ron. He was a true craftsman who took tremendous pride in his work. He was also a real pleasure to be around. It didn't matter what was going on, he always had something witty and clever to say. I would call Ron at nights and early mornings when we had a PeopleSoft issue and he was always there for me and HISD. As far as poker goes he was "THE MAN". Many times I would be in a hand and I would say to myself what would Ron do in this situation. He will be missed.

I've known Ron since I was a child, and as I've sat and reflected on memories of Ron, it is his warm and joyous smile that immediately springs forth. I am blessed to have known him.

Fran, Chris, and Jennifer, you and your families are in my prayers. I know that God has a special place in Heaven for Ron.

Love, Carol

I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Ron. He was such a great and jolly person. I could not fathom how much grief this would bring to all the people around him. He would be greatly missed. I would always remember him as the Peoplesoft Payroll guru who learned the system from the School of Hard Knocks and I oftentimes hear him complain that “the problem is this SQL is doing a Cartesian join”. As a person, though he may be quite grumpy at times although rare and only in the mornings, but he is really a very sensible and caring person like a “Dad” as we often call him. Wherever you are our condolences and prayers goes to you and to your family.

My prayers and thoughts are with the family and for a good friend that we will all miss, Ron Mizrany. I know Ron is in heaven and is probably setting the rules for a huge poker game as we speak. His laugh was contagious, and we shared many good times over the past 28 years that I had the honor to know Ron. We can all remember a person who lived life to the fullest and never complained even after some tough hands were dealt his way. I will always have great memories and a smile when I think of Ron.

we prayed for you daily! Now our prayer is answered just not the way we wanted. I am glad you are no longer in pain but I selflessly want you here being the best granpa ever to Niko. We miss you but know you are not LOST we know exactly where you are: playing poker with Jesus. We will see you again. Until then I will take care of your grandson just like you told me to. Love you Dad!

Ron was a true friend, and his heart was bigger than he was. You almost never see the man without a smile - a smile that was very contagious. I can still hear his laugh, and even see him lording over the poker table at Macho Weekend. I am truly happy that he is no longer suffering, but I miss my friend. He was one of the most wonderful men I've ever known, and its a real honor to be called friend by him. I can still hear him say "Pablo" as he stretches out those long arms for a welcoming hug. He will be missed by many.

Our thoughts & prayers are with all of the Mizrany Family & Friends. Ron was a great friend and helped me on my first assignment at Texas Instruments with RCG. I miss those days where I would drive Ron, Nada and Carol to love field and those breaks Ron and I took to get away from the job.

Can I tell a story about Ron? Or maybe two? Ron may not have been the most skillful horseshoe player but the gods definitely liked to see Ron win. He'd throw a most improbable shoe, holler "flip, flop, and fly", and wouldn't you know it... a ringer.

Or, maybe the better story is Ron's willingness to go the extra mile for anyone. A man who lived in modest grandiosity, believing in himself, with time and compassion for all those around him.

I miss Ron a lot... he completed our 'circle'... and I know that I will often turn to my right to say, "Well, what the h*ll do you think", only to find an empty chair. At least he won't be taking all my poker money any more.

Blessings to Fran, Chris, and Jennifer. You are in my prayers.

Daddy you were so very strong in so many different ways. Life tested you to the max over the last couple of years. Through it all you kept your spirit high and maintained your hilarious yet unique sense of humor everyone loves so much. One of the last jokes you shared with the family, I couldn't agree with more, and that is..... "Interesting, Dear Watson" We will miss you severely Daddy. I love you with all my heart.

Ron always had a kind word and warm helpful manner. He had loads of great stories and "DAD" as he was known at HISD could be counted on to be concered with the details that made out system work. So wonderful that he got a taste of retirement before falling ill. Ron you will be missed. My prayers for your family and friends who can celebrate your life but feel the pain of missing you

"Ron". Just the mention of his name had an effect on all of us who knew him. I had the pleasure of meeting Ron about ten years ago and we developed a relationship of mutual respect and admiration. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word and his loss is shared not only by his family, but also by his friends.

I have worked with Ron for 5+ years at HISD and he had taught me a lot about PeopleSoft Payroll and I will forever be grateful to him. He was a great friend, patient human being, and funny in many ways. He was a man of integrity, intelligence, diligence, and full of respect for all peoples. It was my utmost honor to have known him. My condolences to his family for having lost a wonderful loved one, but I know all close to him will always celebrate his life and treasure the memories with him. Laura Adams
