Roy Alexander Obituary
1929-2015
Roy Alexander Jr., immigration lawyer, Air Force veteran, VMI graduate, big brother, and practical joker, died Saturday, February 28, 2015 and is survived by 8 children, Page, Kathryn, Roy, Berkeley, Courtney, John, Whitney, and Alexis and 10 grandchildren.
Roy was born in St. Louis, MO and raised in Port Washington, NY, but as a Son of the Republic of Texas, it didn't take Roy long to make his home in Houston over 60 years ago. Along the way he graduated from Virginia Military Institute and served 10 years in the Air Force, active during the Korean war and achieving the rank of captain.
Roy will be deeply missed by family, friends, clients, and colleagues. Having served the Houston community for over 5 decades, he's touched thousands of lives and made a difference to many. It was his devotion to serving his clients that propelled his law practice through his 85th year and if he could have filed a continuance on life, he'd still be at his Heights law office.
Roy's memorial service (and birthday celebration) will be held on March 26, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Walsingham, 7809 Shadyville Lane, Houston, Texas 77055 with a reception to follow next door at St. Jude's Hall.

Roy was like a father to me and will greatly be missed. My entire family is grateful for all he did and pray for God's Strength and peace for the Alexander family during this difficult time.

Roy was a great friend, Lawyer and father to not just his children to many of us who had the honor and pleasure of meeting him. I shall miss him dearly.
