Sara Bryant Obituary

SARA LEE BRYANT passed away on April 23, 2007 in Houston, Texas. Sara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was born on November 22, 1944 in Topeka, Kansas. She was the daughter of William D. Lee and the late Martha K. Lee of Sun City, Arizona. She was a graduate of Connecticut College for Women in New London, Connecticut in 1966. Sara traveled extensively, including internationally. Sara was an accomplished artist who taught art classes for both children and adults. For the past 25 years, Sara worked in the residential property management industry having managed over a dozen properties in the Houston Metropolitan area. Sara enjoyed her career primarily because she enjoyed helping people with their personal life, which often times extended far beyond leasing apartments. Sara was also an avid collector of art. Her latest passion was collecting and displaying designer and antique teddy bears as part of her larger art collection. Sara also loved animals and often took in abandoned animals from properties she managed and found them loving homes. She felt very connected to her church and bible study group at Northwoods Presbyterian. Sara loved life, her family, her numerous friends, pets and her work. One of her greatest assets was being a good listener and advisor to people. Her family and friends will deeply miss her sound advice. Sara leaves a husband, Dan Bryant, two sons; John Kadlic of Columbus, Ohio, and Jeffrey Kadlic of Shaker Heights, Ohio. She also has 6 grandchildren; Connor, Joseph, Lauren, and Daniel Kadlic of Shaker Heights, Ohio and Katz and Reagan Kadlic of Columbus, Ohio. Sara has 4 step children, 6 step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Sara also leaves her father William D. Lee of Sun City, Arizona and brother Douglass Lee of Great Sampford, Essex, England. The memorial service honoring the life of Sara will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Northwoods Presbyterian Church located at 3320 West FM 1960 Houston, Texas 77068. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Northwoods Presbyterian Church located at 3320 FM 1960 West, Houston, Texas 77068 or the American Cancer Society at P.O. I will miss Sara,my sister, dearly. We were always very close though we were quite different. She was always so sensitive and caring and touched many people's lives including mine.
I say good bye and quote from William Shakespeare
"And, when she shall die, Take her and cut her out in little stars. and she will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to the garish sun.

A few years ago at Thanksgiving Sara was in town visiting John and Kim and she shared Thanksgiving festivities at our house. They included dinner with all the trimmings and a game of Wizard in the afternoon. She really enjoyed herself and especially the card game. She and I took the kids to see NYC Rockettes Christmas Show at the Ohio Theater the next day. It was a very special few day when two Grandmas just had a great time together enjoying their Grandchildren. She will be missed greatly.

Sara will be deeply missed, and her memory cherished. Her kind heart, compassionate spirit and extraordinary gift of love were her gifts from God, which she shared with everyone she met. I consider myself blessed for having had her be a part of my life, and that of my family. She was truly a woman of God, filled with His grace, and we are all better people for having known her. How wonderful it is, and how rare, to know someone who returns the love you give them so beautifully.
