Sean Weinstein Obituary

Sean Weinstein
1997-2015
Our beloved son, Sean Weinstein, was devastatingly taken away from us on Sunday, November 29th. Our hearts are broken. Sean was a 2015 honors graduate of Jersey Village High School. He was looking forward to the challenges at Texas A&M as a chemistry major in the honors program and was making plans to pursue dentistry. He was a fine young man of character, intelligence, knowledge and humor, who was a supportive friend to many. Sean was the light of our lives and the joy of our hearts. He is survived by his parents Stephen and Sherry Weinstein and many dear relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Sean, we are so proud of you!
A service will be held Sunday, December 6th, 11:00am at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, Texas 77065

Dear Sherry and Steve,
Elaine and I are tremendously devastated by your Christmas letter and we cannot stop thinking about the both of you and the loss of Sean, who we were so fortunate to know, via our annual cards, from his birth. Words will never be able to express the sorrow that we hold for you in our hearts, but please know, you will be with us in our prayers. Remain proud of the fact that you raised such a brilliant, beautiful young man who was truly a reflection of the both of you. You both did an exceptional job taking care of him in his life on earth, now he is comfortably with our God watching over the both of you. Peace be with you now and forever. With our love, Elaine and Tim Atkinson - Cleveland, Ohio

Dear Sherry and Stephen, I was so sorry to read about your precious son Sean. I ask God to hold your broken heart and give you peace of mind. I lost my 13 year old son in 1995 so I truly understand all the emotions that you are going through. I so wish that this would have never happened. I ask God to hold you.

The Compassionate Friends is what helped me the most. It is a support group for parents that have lost a child from all causes. I send you all my love.

Sean was an extremely talented tennis player. As his varsity tennis coach for 4 years, I can tell you that he was a leader on and off the court. As a freshman, he was already considered a "champ", meaning that he had mastered many tennis skills: topspin serves, accurate forehands and backhands, and crisp volleys. He shared his knowledge and abilities with his teammates and helped them progress in their attempts to win matches. Not only did he mentor his own team, but he also reached out to our competition and counseled players on the other team. His quiet, caring, no-nonsense disposition was admired by his team and classmates. He was an honor student and his peers sought his advice on many topics. We will dearly miss Sean. It was a privilege to be his "coach".
