As someone involved in KPFT Fm 90.1 from it's days in the Atlanta Life Insurance building through 20 years of participation, I can say that Steve and Margie Glaser were the two primary people that added vision and common sense, as well as making sure the lights stayed on many times, to the history of KPFT. In fact, Margie gave me my first position in radio management, Program Director, and I even worked for Steve at one of his Dow supply subsidiaries before working under J P Pritchard in news at the old KULF AM sation. I always felt grounded and also understood by both Steve and Margie. If you know me that's saying a lot! Missed and grateful for them both in my life.

Steve Glaser was a gentle giant. He had a wonderful way with words and was always there if you really needed a hand.
He was quick to share his wisdom and loved his family very much.
I feel privileged to have known him and to consider him a friend.
He was a stalwart defender and supporter of KPFT, Houston's 90.1 FM Pacifica Radio and was involved in it from the very earliest days.
He and his lovely wife, Margie, were 2 of the first people I came to know at KPFT. Both of them were brilliant; both of them taught me much; both of them have left us now.
We cherish their memories and spirit.
Good bye Steve...hello Margie.
Peace and blessings to all.

Steve was my customer but also my friend. He was always asking about my family and telling me about his. He realy cared about people. His children had the best. I am going to miss Steve a lot but will always remember our talks and the lessons I learned from a very good man. Thank you Steve for being my friend.

Dad, your positive attitude toward life and loved ones was inspirational to all that knew you. You never had a disparaging word for anyone and brought out the best in everyone around you. You made an impression on everyone you met that will not soon be forgotten. We will miss you always.

Steve usually set the pace in pretty much any thing he tackled so if you wanted to keep up,your gate would need to increase. He participated in business activities where no one had gone before. He had vision. Sorry for the family as he will leave a void. Harold Kahla

Barbara and Robert, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. Words cannot do justice for the respect I had for him. He was such a great parent always there for Barbara and I as we made our way through adolescents. As I made my way through being a single parent I often thought of him telling me that crying or being emotional did not serve any purpose. He made me a stronger parent and I will never forget him. Please know that my thoughts are with you.
