May the Lord be with all of the Barrow family during this time of sadness. Tom was a true gentlemen, mentor and friend and he will be missed by all who knew him.

We at the Offshore Energy Center are deeply saddened and send our sincere condolences to the Barrow Family. We were blessed to have known Tom, and sincerely appreciated all his knowledge and resources be brought to our table. We remember his story that he was on oil rigs before he was born, in that his mother was a Geologist and she was pregnant with Tom while she worked. He followed in her footsteps and was recognized as one of the leading geologists in the industry.
We feel blessed to have known him and he will remain in our thoughts and prayers. He will live on in our hearts and in the Hall of Fame at the Ocean Star.
We pray that God will watch over you all in this time of sadness.

Our sincere condolences to the Barrow family on the loss of your husband and father. Tom was a big man in both stature and intellect. He was also a wise mentor to many - including myself. And for that I shall always be thankful. May God bless and comfort you.

Our deepest sympathy for your loss. He was my mentor while at Humble and Exxon and very instrumental in my own success as an explorationist. Nan and I will always remember Jan and Tom's visit to Stavanger, Norway to see our operations there. Much love to all the family.

A fine geologist and excellent manager. In the aftermath of the 1967 Offshore Louisiana sale, he met will all the Humble technical staff and told us not to feel bad about tracts we underbid. Tom said that he personally made the final bid decisions, and any failures were his and not that of the good geologists and geophysicists that worked for him. We will miss him!
