Thomas Whigham Obituary

THOMAS FRANCIS WHIGHAM, 69, a longtime resident of Tomball, TX, passed away on November 30, 2007 at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Tommy was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 27, 1938. He grew up in Magnolia, TX and graduated from Magnolia High School. He worked for many years for Rice University in the Grounds and Maintenance Dept. and was Park Superintendent for Harris County Pct. 3. For the last 20 years he managed his own lawn care and landscaping business with a large clientele predominantly located in The Woodlands and 1960 area. He was formally married to Evelyn Kleb Whigham Bentley. He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Cook Whigham; mother, Myrtle Francis Whigham and daughter, Rebecca Louise Borgstedt. Tommy was the Rock and Foundation for his family and lived his life for them. He is survived by his son, Clinton Whigham and wife Tamara; grandson, Christopher Whig-ham; granddaughter Zoe and great granddaughter Emily. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and nature, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren. He was well known for his dedication to whatever job or project he faced. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Monday evening December 3, 2007 5:00-7:00pm at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball. A service to celebrate Tommy's life will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 1:00pm at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball and will be officiated by Reverend Darren Heil. Interment to follow at Roberts Cemetery, Hockley, Texas.
