Tim had a great trumpet sound. His tone was just beautiful even as such a young player, as he was when I met him so many years ago in college band. We played the trumpet solo from "You'll Never Walk Alone" a number of times together at the end of the Eagle's football games at North Texas. It was the first thing that came to my mind - a favorite melody, a favorite memory. I am honored that I was able to share in making music with Tim. It will mean so much more to hear and play that song, now.
Tim, thank you for sharing your gift with so many people, so many students.

What an incredible talent, hard worker, dependable, self motivated, a model student, intuitive, creative, and very good person.
To your family and to your friends - bless you for your love, support and friendship to Tim.
Tim had God given and beautiful gift of playing the trumpet - First Chair in All-State - he worked and earned it - so hard to do!
A very proud and caring teacher.

Mr. Grange was my director when I first started band in 6th grade. Although he was only there for a short time, he was very influential in the early development of becoming the musician that I am today. I never really knew Mr. Grange all that well but I really wish I had because he always was great men. My condolences go out to his family, friends, and all his students. Mr. Grange will be greatly missed.

Mr. Grange was my Band Director. He was one of my most influential teachers. We didn't always see eye to eye but that was mostly due to my adolescent rebelliousness. I knew him from 6th grade all the way though my senior year of high school. He was an amazing teacher and musician. He had a way of teaching and shaping you even without you realizing it. His passing has hit me harder than I would have thought. His lessons will live on in me for the rest of my life as I'm sure they will for the rest of his students. My thoughts are with his family in this time of loss.
Mr. Grange, Lets play it from the beginning one more time...
