I worked with Tom for twenty years and we had a great relationship. I served on his board at Non-profit Housing Corp or Greater Houston, worked with his as the architect for many affordable housing projects and also enjoyed working with him at Rice University in the School of Architecture several years as part of a team working with students to model how affordable housing projects are developed. In my 50 years practicing architecture in Houston, Tom was one of my favorite clients and friends. He was a selfless leader and was inspiring and motivating to so many. Tom passed the gold standard with flying colors for he definitely made the world a better place for having been here. I am proud to have known him and been able to work with him. He will not be forgotten!

I attended church with Tom back when we were students at Sunset, and even back then I knew him to be someone truly special. I am delighted to learn that Tom had a full and wonderful life in service to others. Thanks for the memories!

Tom was such a gift to everyone who knew him - we were all inspired by his humor, wisdom, and compassion. So grateful to have shared time with him and his wonderful family.

I cannot remember a time before Tom Lord as a beloved friend to my father , Jackson Hinds. Tom and Jackson worked together for yeas making affordable housing available to low income families.
Tom was a warrior of the faith, putting faith into action, helping others.
On behalf of the Hinds family, I offer sympathy. We loved Tom Lord. Love to Kathy and family.
