for Tommy Simmons

It was my privilege to work with Tommy for 7-8 years during the 80's-90's at GATX as the terminal secretary/benefits adm. He was such a hands-on terminal manager. That plant was his "baby" and every tank was kept, as you would expect with Tommy, painted and spotless. We all followed his lead in maintaining the building and the grounds there in Pasadena beautiful and well groomed. Our heartfelt sympathy to Barbara and his family. Barbara:
We are thankful for the time God gave us to share with Tommy but we will miss him here. The void seems overwhelming. As the song goes that if we could see him now, he would not want to come back. It was his walk with Jesus.
Leaning on God is the only way to press on and live through the void and grief. We will cherish the many special memories. As the best of friends, you, Tommy, my Mom and Dad (Ross & Glynn) shared so much laughter together playing 42. So many stories. We will all miss his grin. Steve received him, along with many others, in heaven and now they are smiling down on us together. Find comfort in knowing we all love you and the family and will be lifting you up for strength during this time.

He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge.
