I worked for Dr. Scott for over 10 years, almost 50 years ago. I have never forgotten him. He was the best boss I have ever had. It was my favorite job ever. The stories I could tell. Many people were scared of him, in awe really. He was only scary if you were not doing the best you could/ being the best you could. I remember his kindness: sending flowers to a wife who's husband was in the hospital for their anniversary, "forgetting" a balance due (back when you could do that), etc. He loved his mid-morning coke and snack...........and tended to be "cranky" if he didn't get it. I tried to make sure he always did. His patients loved him and I did too. I remember Bill, Donna, and Mary well. Jane was his perfect match. He was truly "one of a kind".

There are few men I have known that I can say that I truly loved, but Jack Scott is one of those few. He was an honest, caring, gentle and wise man whom I have missed and will miss just knowing that he is there. I have no doubt where Jack is now and I hope to see him again some day. My love to all of his family; you are in my prayers. Tom Hood

I want to thank all of you for the comments that you shared. To me, he will always be the most respected person I have ever known. He had such a unique way of making you feel like you were the center of his attention when you were talking to him, or when he was telling you one of his stories or jokes. I will deeply miss his humor, his caring, his funny little noises, like jiggling his glass of lemonade or soda with ice, but most of all his love. There will not be a day that goes by when I don't hear him laughing about one of his favorite stories, particularly about the family.
Love to all,
Bill Scott

Jack was a trusted friend, fraternity brother and roommate at Davidson College, 1950-1954. He and I shared experiences too numerous to count and many too embarrassing to reveal....all helping to make this a special time, at a special place in our lives. With deep regret and many fond memories, I send my love and condolences to Jane and the family. I'll miss him.

Dear Jane and Family,
Our deepest, heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Dr. Scott will always be with us through the many stories that we will always have to share. He was the greatest story teller! He always had time to listen and share something about all of your animals with me, we would laugh about how they let us live in the house with them...lol. What a wonderful man! God be with you!
Sincerely, Marcia

The world has lost a precious gem in Dr. Scott! He was the picture of compassion, unselfish giving and genuine care for others. I thank his family for sharing him with us; and know that heaven is rejoicing that he is home resting in eternal peace.
