thought of Bill Brown & Brownstone for years. I worked for him in the 1980s in Houston, Galveston, & League City. Bill was a wonderful & truly blessed man, as evidenced by his success. I'm sorry to hear of his passing, but happy that he left a legacy for his family. Prayers for continued success.

I just found out about Bill and wanted to let the family know how much I admired him as a baseball teammate and as a true friend. I just watched the funeral on line and the wonderful words spoken by his sons. I was the other first baseman on the 62 and 63 Arizona team. Bill threw left-handed and batted right, I threw right-handed and batted left, so we made a good combination and spent many times on the field together. I so much enjoyed being his teammate all the way to Omaha in 1963. I last saw Bill in Tucson at the awards dinner for our teammate Dan Schneider a couple years ago. And by the way, I did see the amazing ball he hit at UCLA, and it was the longest ball I ever saw hit for a homerun. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Rest In Peace, "Baby Huey" ! We all called Bill "Baby Huey" from the cartoon because he was so big- 6´4" and 225 lbs. Bill was a pitcher and first baseman on our 1960 Midland High baseball team that made it to Austin and competed for the state championship. I will always cherish knowing such a great guy!!!
