John Baum Obituary

Baum, John E.

John E. Baum, age 64, a Two Rivers resident, died on Monday afternoon, October 19, 2015 at River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, surrounded by his family and friends.

John was born on April 25, 1951 in Two Rivers, son of the late Alfred and Dolores (Allie) Baum. He was a graduate of Two Rivers Washington High School with the class of 1969. On June 23, 1973 he married the former Kay Keller at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. The couple owned and operated Frame Works in Two Rivers for 25 years. He worked for Hamilton Manufacturing from 1972 until he had to retire in 2008 due to illness. John enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid outdoors man, as well as a member of the Lakeshore Sea Kayak Club.

Survivors include his wife: Kay Baum, Two Rivers; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Charles and Mary Baum, Mazomanie, WI, William and Mary Alice Baum, White Sulphur Springs, WV; and a special niece: Phuong Baum, as well as other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother: Edward Baum.

Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and a Celebration of John's Life will take place on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. At 2:30 p.m. everyone is welcome to share memories of John's Life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the ALS Association - Wisconsin Chapter or the Lakeshore Humane Society.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice and the nurses and staff at River's Bend for the kindness and excellent care they extended to John and his family.
