Joseph Novak Obituary
Joseph James (Joey) Novak, 66, of Rockford, Illinois (formerly Manitowoc County) fell asleep Monday, June 24, 2013, at St. Frances Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, and is awaiting the return of the his Lord and Savior.
Joey was born January 7, 1947, to the late Joseph Sr. and Dorothy (Brockhoff) Novak in Manitowoc, WI.
Joey grew up working on the family farm until enlisting in the U.S. Army from 1964-1967. He married Sandi Pinger on June 10, 1989, in Manitowoc, and then relocated to Rockford, IL, where he worked until retirement.
Joey is survived by his wife Sandi of Rockford; son, Joe (Jennifer) Novak, and 3 grandchildren, Julia, Jaxon, and Jordyn of Spring, Texas; 4 brothers, Robert, Two Rivers; Dale (Joyce) of Pembine, Wis.; Gary (Juli) Manitowoc; Wayne (friend, Carol) Maribel; 8 sisters, Darlene Tech, Manitowoc; Bonnie (Lenny) Beck, Manitowoc; Linda (Ron) Crass, Phelps; Sandra, Maribel; Kim (Terry) Enz, Maribel; Nancy (Gordy) Mullen, Green Bay; Sue, Reedsville; Pam (Ricky) Mott, Two Rivers; along with loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
At Joey's request, cremation and burial, with military honors, has taken place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
