Richard Zeddun Obituary

Zeddun, Richard W.

Richard W. Zeddun passed away at home on November 8, 2017, at age 46, after a knock-down, drag-out fight with cancer. While cancer ultimately prevailed, it was not for lack of trying on Rich's part.

Rich is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Brenda L. Zeddun; his parents Wallace & Suzanne Zeddun of Pawleys Island, SC; his grandma Annette Zdun of Pawleys Island, SC; his in-laws Larry & Cindy Frank of Manitowoc, WI; his brother Steven Zeddun (Jessica) of Washington, DC; his sister-in-law Connie Rose (David) of Pewaukee, WI; grandparents Richard & Nancy Frank of Menomonie, WI; nieces Charlotte Rose, Natalie Rose and Skyler Zeddun; nephew Carter Zeddun; and aunts, uncles, cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Maurice & Evelyn Zealley and Edward Zdun; and his father-in-law Gary Stelzer.

Rich graduated from Brookfield East High School in 1990, UW-Madison in 1994 and Valparaiso School of Law in 1997. In 2000, he married Brenda and founded Madison-based law firm Law Advisors, S.C. It was always his dream to own his own business and work with his wife. Brenda joined the firm in 2003 and they practiced law together since.

Rich and Brenda loved being together. When they weren't working, they enjoyed hiking, snowshoeing, traveling, and watching football. Rich also enjoyed listening to music, followed all Wisconsin sports teams and knew more about computers and technology than The Geek Squad.

Brenda would like to thank Dr. Sam Lubner and Jenna Wilke, NP (UW Carbone Cancer Center). Instead of working merely to minimize Rich's discomfort until he passed, they fought to save Rich's life - an important distinction. Thanks also goes to Brenda's family. Their lives stopped upon Rich's diagnosis to make Rich and Brenda's life a little easier. A special thank you to our legal assistant, Linda Benisch, who was steadfastly devoted to Rich.

A celebration of Rich's life will be held at Elmbrook Church, 777 S. Barker Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at Elmbrook from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Private burial to follow on Friday, November 17, 2017 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
