Still so hard to believe love to Dan´s family.

I feel very lucky to have had Dan as a colleague, a mentor and friend for almost 20 years. He was easily the smartest, but more importantly the kindest person I have ever worked with. He could navigate a difficult situation with such professionalism and solve literally any problem we faced.
My heart goes out to the entire Hackenberg family - may you find strength in knowing what a wonderful person he was to so many of us!

One of the things I'll always remember about Dan is his zest for life. No matter the situation, he seemed to find a way to approach it with a positive attitude and a twinkle in his eye. He could turn a stressful deadline into a brainstorming session fueled by laughter, and his sense of humor always had a way of diffusing tension.
Kim and I will always remember the many goodtimes with Dan and Kathy, the business/pleasure trip to Europe and of course Disney World.
Our heartfelt prayers go out to Dan's family, he'll be deeply missed.

Love and sympathy to all Dans loved ones. I can´t help but think of the time I spent at the house and helped Dan deliver news papers on his route. I am sure he will be missed and remembered for always by those he was close to. From a very sad cousin.
