Donald Bristow Obituary

Donald G. Bristow, Jr.
August 7, 1962 - May 8, 2017
Donald G. Bristow, Jr., 54 passed away Monday, May 8, 2017. Donnie joined his older sister Gwen, born to Don and Jean Bristow on August 7, 1962. Donnie was raised by his grandparents Glen & Mary Keslar at 6 wks. old. Their love was unconditional and again no one could have loved him more. Donnie loved them as his Mother & Father. Donnie was born with abnormalities of the kidneys. He had 9 surgeries by the time he was 8 yrs. old and a major one at age 14. Our Mother let Donnie live his life as a normal little boy. He ran, he played and he got dirty just like all his cousins. Week before his 21st birthday, he broke his neck in a boating accident at Lake Lowell. That accident left him in a wheelchair. Donnie met Susan Fenn, and they made their home in Boise, ID. Donnie enjoyed wood carving, his specialty was carving ducks.
Donnie is survived by his dad, Don (Cheri) Bristow Nampa, mom, Jean McClain (Florida), friend, Susan Fenn, Boise , 3 sisters, Gwen Warga , Gaylynn Nisly (Florida) & Trena Bristow (Nampa). 1 brother, Bobby McClain (Georgia) , 3 Nephews, 5 Great Nieces, 1 Great Nephew and a special cousin, Shorty Bristow (Annex, Oregon) who was helping remodel Donnie & Susan's home. Several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Donnie, I loved you as a brother. I got to fight a few battles for you through the years. We got a lot stuff done at the time. It broke my heart when you said
"I can't do this anymore" and I knew it was time to let go and open arms were waiting for you. I love and miss you! Billie
